so for the fourth time in Kafr El-Sheikh half marathon, we offer you three different distances: 2K, 5K, 10K & 21K.

Runners will be able to pick up their race packs at the Official Kafr El-Sheikh Half Marathon Race Expo on 24^th October. The Race Expo will take place at Sanaa park and to make it easier for our contestants you can pick up your race packs early on the race day 25^th October. 2024.

Age Requirements:

• Minimum age for 21K participation: 16 years
• Minimum age for 10K participation: 14 years
• Minimum age for 5K participation: 10 years
• There is no minimum age for 2K participations.

Age is calculated based on year of birth.

Like many major races around the world, Kafr El-Sheikh Half Marathon will adopt a strict cut-off time in order to maintain the level of competition for each distance and due to the inability to block off the roads indefinitely while runners complete their race. There is one cut-off time for all the races, which will be at 10:00 am. This allows 21K runners 3 hours to complete the half marathon distance.

After the race, each contestant will receive his \ her medal at the finish line and ranking will be organized according to both the overall winner and the age group categories.
Top three males and Top three females for each distance will receive special prizes.
Women and youth age groups will be honored only for the 21 km race and 10 km race.

Registration for the Kafr El-Sheikh Half Marathon opens at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2024.

The following event rules and guidelines are intended to help produce and direct a large scale event, to ensure the safety of all participants, and to meet the requirements of local government permits.

• You agree that El-Atiky shall not be liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury that might occur as a result of your participation in the event.

• All participants take part at their own risk.

• Each participant must agree to the disclaimer and terms & conditions before participating in the event.

• All participants must provide their full name and details of any health problems or medication upon entry in their details account.

• Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers and city officials throughout the duration of the event.

• All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event. This means, for example, that urinating or defecating anywhere on or near the race shall be strictly prohibited except in toilet facilities. Anyone violating this rule of conduct shall be disqualified from the event and will be asked to leave the Race.

• All participants must acknowledge and agree that personal information (including medical information entered on registration or collected by event medical staff during or after the event) can be stored, used and disclosed by el-Atiky in connection with the organization, promotion and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.

• Any participant who refuses to obey the directions of the event official, city official or course marshal, or who conducts himself/herself in an unsportsmanlike manner, or who is offensive by action or language to officials, volunteers, participants or spectators may be disqualified.

• Participants are responsible for their recognition and understanding of event signage, symbols and color relating to participant maps, facilities and direction.

• Participants shall be bound by any modification or supplement of the event rules published prior to the event.

Participant Safety:

• Medical personnel authorized by the event to do so may examine any participant who appears in distress. If in the sole opinion of authorized medical personnel it is in the best interest of the participant’s health and welfare, medical personnel may remove the participant from the event.

• Participants must retire at once from race if ordered to do so by a member of the event’s official staff, official medical staff, or any governmental authority, including fire and police officers.

• Participants are responsible and assume liability for any and all medical expenses incurred as a result of training for and/or participation in the event, including but not limited to ambulance transport, hospital stays, physician and pharmaceutical goods and services.

• Event officials reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race due to inclement weather in accordance with emergency protocol on severe emergencies and/or inclement weather. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

• The organizer has no liability for any loss of travel or accommodation costs that the runner may incur.

Headphones Policy…

• Anyone who is not running for a prize can wear headphones at their own risk. If you do wear headphones PLEASE be considerate of your fellow runners. Wearing headphones DOES impair your hearing and there is every chance that you will not be able to hear important instructions, emergency services, or a fellow runner. If you must wear in ear headphones, please leave one out!

Privacy Policy:

• All customers agree to our privacy policy when they enter an event, purchase a product on the shop or sign up as a volunteer.

Exception:

• Any individual requesting a waiver of any of these rules from the event shall submit a written request no less than 30 days prior to the event date specifying the nature of and reasons for the request.

Ticket:

1. Payment of tickets can be made online.

2. The Final Registration Deadline, regardless of Tier, will be on Friday, FEB. 9^th, 2024.

3. Members Can’t cancel their tickets and Can’t receive the amount paid The credit can then be used to purchase a new ticket, either for Kafr El-Sheikh Half Marathon or any other event organized by , El-Atiky If a runner cancels their ticket following the Final Registration Deadline, they will not be eligible for a refund.

4. Tickets cannot be transferred/resold to other participants under any circumstances.

5. Ticket holders may change their race choice before the Final Registration Deadline by canceling the ticket and purchasing a new one.

6. Ticket fees include the full race experience and the Race Pack. They do not include accommodation or transportation.

Participants:

1. Marathon registrants must be capable of completing the full distance, start line to finish line.

2. Minimum age requirements.

3. Participant race number bibs are specific personal identifiers and may not be exchanged with or transferred / sold to any other person.

4. All entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred toward a future event.

Event Day:

1. Participants need to present a valid photo ID along with their email confirmation in order to receive their Race Pack.

2. Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers and city officials throughout the duration of the event.

3. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event.

4. Every participant shall be provided with an event bib number, which shall be conspicuously worn on the front during the event. The event bib number is to be worn as issued. No participant shall be permitted to participate in the event without the appropriate bib number.

In order to run the KFS Marathon event runners agree the following disclaimer and to the terms & conditions:

“I declare I will abide by the age limits set for the event. I declare that I will not compete in the race unless I am medically fit on the day of the race and that, in any event, I will compete at my own risk. I accept that the organizers, sponsors, partners, marshals will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses, which may arise in consequence of my participation of the event. I also hereby give my permission to El-Atiky and KFS Runners to use my name, quotes, video and photographic likeness for marketing and promotional purposes. I also understand that entry fees are nonrefundable under any circumstances. I also agree to the terms and conditions before I run the KFS Marathon event.”
